In the article "8 Tips to Power-Up Your Classroom Presentations" eight strategies are outlined to aid in creating presentations that are easy to follow and more interesting. Too often slideshow presentations are used to replace the information when they should be used as a tool to aid in getting information across to students. Using too much text without a focus on the main points leaves students uninterested and less likely to pay attention. 

• This article highlights that in a presentation, the number of slides used has nothing to do with the success of the presentation.
• Visuals are very important in presentations, as they help students remember key facts.
• Presentations can be boring so repeating yourself helps students know what was important. 

Focusing on how students learn is a big part of presenting new information. With the features and tools highlighted in this article, I have some ideas on how to create presentations that will actually help my students learn rather than bore them. Interaction is key when trying to get students involved in class and adding simple details to slides can provide a way to make that happen.
