Too often slideshow presentations are used to replace the information when they should be used as a tool to aid in getting information across to students. Using too much text without a focus on the main points leaves students uninterested and less likely to pay attention.

Focusing on how students learn is a big part of presenting new information. With the features and tools highlighted in this article, I have some ideas on how to create presentations that will actually help my students learn rather than bore them. Interaction is key when trying to get students involved in class and adding simple details to slides can provide a way to make that happen.
